Hello everyone, Mommy and me are in Koln! (Cologne) No, i aint gg to bathe in Cologne ok! =(



The food in germany is mighty yummy! And i like the Cathedral , Dom in Koln! Did u know that there is a stained glass mural of St. Agnes who is holding a lamb?? Here it is!!



Mommy and me finally managed to bomb hiroshima, hehehe. All the frankfurters that we ate erm.... yeah came out as frankfurters too. (I ate the vegetarian ones in case u're wondering)



Anyway Mommy has been busy in the refinery at Wesselling, which is a really nice place with nice people. I didnt know the Germans were so frenly! :)

This is the schokolade factory/museum opposite our hotel!! There was one chocolate with a leaf called Hemp (hee hee), but being the law abiding lamb that i am, i didnt eat any ok!

Day 2:

Mommy and me are jetlagged. =(
All cos we watched " Ah Long Pte Ltd, The Warlords, Atonement, The other Boleyn girl, Juno and Brothers"all in a row. We're tired... but i must say the biz class in SG is reallie spiffy man. We couldnt decide whether to use all the amenities and stay awake or sleep with the flat bed. 3 years ago, the chair cannot extend fully wan...

Anyway we reached Frankfurt at 830 pm and it still looked like it was 430 pm... Frankfurt airport not nice wan... Well, i guess nothing beats Changi. Yeah! Singapore pride! Anyway while we were waiting on the travelator for 2 inconsiderate Europeans to move out of the way, my mommy got her first "Japanese reference" liao, this European guy was commenting that its not like in Tokyo that the right hand side is sacred and everyone keeps to 1 side.

Anyway the autobahn was scaryyyyyyyyyyyyyy... everyone seemingly has a mercedes or a BMW and there is no speed limit!! It was scary man, the taxi driver was swerving his way around on the bends. =(

Our Frankfurt hotel is mighty nice and huge! Its the largest room i ever stayed in Europe! Last time in Europe, the rooms are so tiny! This time round, we have TWO rooms! 1 room is a work room with a couch and internet and work connections, the other room is the bedroom. Mighty nice!!!

ANyway apparently Germany won some soccer match or something and pple were like horning their car horns till like 2 am last night. Luckily Mommy brought ear plugs. But we're still tired.

We woke up at like 7 am today and went to walk walk. Here's our brekkie... this Apfel tart and coffee that Mommy tot it was a cheese and ham pizza thing. Cheh.

Anyway we walked and walked until we're so tired... We didnt know the famous Zeil street is just opposite our hotel! There was this market and Mommy ate 2 giant frankfurters! WIthout giving me any! There were so many things to eat but we didnt try much. Cos we couldnt read the German. :'(

Day 1: Take off!!

Yipppeee! Mommy and me are gg to Europe today!!! Our first stop is Frankfurt and we will post many pictures and update this blog as we go along our month long "work trip" in case u miss me and Mommy! Hee.

We're leaving at the 145 pm plane today and will reach Frankfurt at 830! Ooops! I forgot to tell my Montessori teacher that i am not coming to school for the next month! But anyway i am a genius so i will be hotel-schooled in Europe. =)

We're wondering what to do in Frankfurt!!!! Mommy says we gotta find me some of those pig knuckles and beer! But i dun drink beer and pigs are my friends. Wonder who she is talking abt.  We will post load of pictures soon! We came back to Lor K this morning just to take the USB connector to our camera ok!

I am so upset with a certain alcoholic drink sitting in KL!

Some people have been using fake post its!!!! How can u!!!! I am gg to tell my creator and my creator will be so upset with u for not using 3M post its.

CREATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got pple never use proper 3M postits and are anyhowly buying fake stuff.

As the 3M celambrity , i shall educate u on why its important to have genuine 3M post its.

If you dont use 3M Post-its,

1. You will totally forget to do the most important stuff in life! Like submitting a report, buying a certain shares or even going to the toilet! A post-it helps u prioritize life!
2. How will department Away Days get conducted without Post-its?! How will people be able to "speak up" without Post its???!
3. You will completely lose the page that you were reading in a book! That's mighty upsetting u noe!!
4. How will Art & Craft projects get done?!?!?!?!? Fake 3M products dont hold as well and you dun have flourescent post-its, striped post-its, pink post-its, black post-its!
5. How will Creator earn a living if you buy fake 3M stuff!!!

GGqq also told me a joke yesterday;

" 1 day, an Orangutan, ah meng and King Kong climbed a coconut tree, who got the banana? Noone!! Cos the coconut tree dun grow bananas!!"

Today is UOP family day and desdragon and ggqq have gone to the zoo without me and my mommy. :'(
And they are gg to have KFC lunch and look at tigers and wolves and monkeys. Without me. *cry*

Sulk. I wanna goooooooooooooooooo tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. MOMMMMY wouldnt sign my consent form! She said i would climb into the tiger pit. I WUN CLIMB INTO THE PIT I PROMISE!!!!!!!!!! i just wanna peep at the tigers. :(

Yesterday Desdragon and Kitty and GGQQ and me and mommy went to the Sushi Tei at ECP!! It was a pretty nice place and the sushi was pretty yummilicious even tho i am not sure whether i am allowed to eat fish.

Desdragon was telling us a stupid story about his jeans

He said when he was young, he went to this temple with his mom and he was wearing jeans. Then they met a blind old nun there and then the blind old nun accidently touched his jeans and got an electric shock. After that the blind old nun brought his mom to 1 side and told her something. After that, his mom went home and threw away all his jeans. Cos apparently there was something "dirty" in his jeans So he never had any jeans since then.

Then ggqq and mommy and me were like, yeeks!! so scary!!!! Is it a true story?

Desdragon: No.

Stupid desdragon! So next time if he tells u this story, remember its not a true story ok!

The Economist wrote an article abt 175000 pple taking the CFA exam on sunday !!! We're 1 of them! Ok so what we're a statistic? I wish the papers would stop following us around. The last time when we were in the papers was when they did an article about singaporeans gg to HK to watch a certain Tony Leung movie. Tee hee.

This reminds me of the time that i was in FHM also. Hee.

Yippeeee MUMMY'S EXAMS ARE OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mommy is so gg to fail. But u'll all still love me and mommy right!!!! Anyway i wanted to save Mommy today by doing a "prison break" and go as Mommy's heavily tattooed "pencil case" but i think mommy would have failed it even worsely.

Anyway Por Por and Gong Gong came back from HK and bought me 3 clothes that were too small =(((((((( And then they called me fat. Wah lau. 

Sigh.. Now that mommy's exams are over, what are we gg to do? Oh yah! We have to plan for our Europe sojourn!!!! Hee. We're going to Frankfurt, Koln, Rotterdam, Zurich, Verona, Milan and Venice!!! Yiipppeee.. I promise to update my bloggie with lots and lots of photos!

But meanwhile for the next 2 weeks, its time to chill! Time to go for Sushi Tei with Desdragon & GGQQ! And lots of hot yoga with GGQQ!! I hope ggqq can make it!

Yang Ma Ma: What a good experience the CFA was!! Even if i fail this time round, completely prepared to take the Dec paper =)  Sigh.. what good omens actually.. 8th June ( 6/8/08 ), my candidate number was 6116568 and my seat number was 68!!!

Looking back, i am very glad that i took this CFA even though it turned out to be more challenging than chem eng! At the very least, i really need to stop thinking like an engineer and start to have finance , econs and commercial acumen and the CFA syllabus really tunes a person to that kind of thinking. People can be superficial sometimes, investment banking is 1 of the uses of this, but seriously, running the LP is not gg to generate income for me when i retire from Shell. 

After chemical engineering, it doesnt really make me want to pursue it further but somehow the CFA can make u want to learn more... I actually got a couple questions correct when i recalled some articles that i had read in The Economist. I.e: In the long run, the skill of the portfolio manager is what differentiates 1 portfolio from another. (i.e: Alpha vs Beta)

I wun give myself too much pressure.. afterall, its been 4 yrs + 6 yrs working as an engineer and only half a yr as a commercial person. 

Anyway the CFA exam procedures were so strict!! My pencil case got confiscated as we were only allowed pencils, erasers , the BAII plus calculators and our brain into the exam hall. We were expected to be seated by 836 am and the "late comers" were locked out till the paper started at 9 am. Poor fellas. Quite psychologically traumatising!

The mad rush for ur belongings was another lesson that i learnt and if i pass (or retake it in Dec), i definitely will just lock all my stuff in the lambmobile the next time and just bring my car keys. And definitely bringing ur own lunch was a blardee good idea.

Ahhhh... so tired but satisfying... having acquired some new found financial knowledge and perhaps can challenge Desdragon in future!! =)
